Manzano High School Student (Santa Fe, NM)— The 2004-2005 Siemens Student
Awards for Advanced Placement (AP) were recently selected. These awards
are given to 24 winners nationwide. Robert Cordwell, a senior at Manzano
High School in Albuquerque, NM was one of the recipients. Student
finalists scored the highest cumulative scores on eight exams in seven
AP courses which include: biology, calculus, chemistry, computer science,
environmental science, physics: electricity and magnetism and physics:
mechanics and statistics. Each student will receive a $3,000 scholarship
to the college of their choice. On February first, a full-page ad in USA Today announced
the winners. Two of the twenty-four regional winners will be selected
as national winners and awarded an additional $5,000 scholarship.
National winners will be announced in the spring. |
