Education Secretary Garcia to Speak at LANL Conference
On Preparing Children for Kindergarten, PED Successes

(Santa Fe, NM)--Secretary of Education Dr. Veronica C. García will deliver two speeches on Friday, October 1, at the 7th Annual Los Alamos National Laboratory Conference, to be held in Santa Fe at the La Fonda Hotel, located at 100 E. San Francisco.

At 11:15 a.m., Secretary Dr. García will address daycare providers on preparing children for kindergarten. At 6:00 p.m., she will address school, business and political leaders on the status and successes of the Public Education Department and public education.

The conference focus is early childhood development and increasing our children’s potential. The conference will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
