During “Every Day Counts” Campaign Tour

(Santa Fe NM)—Secretary of Education Dr. Veronica C. García will visit two Farmington schools – Apache and Esperanza Elementary Schools – on Wednesday, September 15 as part of the “Every Day Counts” Truancy Prevention Campaign tour.

She will join campaign spokesperson and rapper Hurrikane 9 at Apache Elementary, located at 700 West Apache, from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. and at Esperanza Elementary, located at 4501 Wildflower Drive, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Their joint message will be that every day in school counts.

The two schools are among nearly 100 to be visited in September and October during the truancy prevention tour, sponsored by the Governor’s Truancy Prevention Program, Public Education Department, New Mexico Department of Tourism and others.
