2003-2004 New Mexico Scholars Selected From Throughout New Mexico

(Santa Fe, NM)--The New Mexico Public Education Department, in cooperation with the New Mexico ACT Council, has selected 970 high school seniors as 2003-2004 New Mexico Public Education Department Recognition Program Scholars. These students from throughout the state earned a composite score of 26 or higher on their ACT Assessment and have a verified high school grade point average of 3.5 or greater.

“It is an honor to recognize these New Mexico Scholars for their outstanding academic achievements. Our goal is for New Mexico’s students to benefit from their education and successfully transition to postsecondary education and meaningful employment. These students are truly on their way! We wish them the best and know that they are well prepared to embrace their future opportunities,” said Secretary of Education Dr. Veronica C. García.

The 970 New Mexico Scholars received congratulatory letters and certificates in April.
