Regional Forums to be Held on Future Direction of Career and Technical Education in New Mexico

(Santa Fe NM)— The future direction of career and technical education in the state will be the topic of three regional open forums that will be held in November by the New Mexico Public Education Department’s (NMPED) Career-Technical and Community Service Division. Invited are industry representatives, educators, parents and students concerned about the role of education in producing a quality workforce and economy. “The public is key to ongoing high school reform efforts,” said Lena Trujillo-Chavez, division assistant superintendent.
