Education Partners to Hold News Conference, "Consensus Agenda," on Monday, February 3, 11:00 a.m., in Capitol Rotunda

(Santa Fe, NM)-The New Mexico Education Partners, a diverse group of statewide organizations working on behalf of public education, will hold a news conference on Monday, February 3, 2003, at 11:00 a.m., in the Capitol rotunda in Santa Fe, to present its 2003 "Consensus Agenda." The agenda includes Education Partners' goals for the 2003 legislative session.

For the 2003 session, Education Partners will seek support in five areas: 1) resources, 2) accountability, 3) reading, literacy and multilingual proficiency, 4) funding for educators and 5) statutory changes necessary to comply with the federal No Child Left Behind law.
