Education Secretary Garcia to Visit Constituents from T or C, Gadsden, Las Cruces and Alamogordo

(Santa Fe, NM)--Secretary of Education Dr. Veronica C. Garcia will make a visit to southern New Mexico on Monday and Tuesday, December 8 and 9, with stops in Truth or Consequences, Gadsden and Las Cruces. On Tuesday, she will meet with faculty and students at Gadsden High School in Gadsden from 9:15 to 9:45 a.m. From 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. she will make a presentation and answer questions at a reception at New Mexico State University, Dona Ana Room.

On Monday, from 4:00 to 4:45 p.m., she will visit with the Scott Weaver, director of the Children’s House of Sierra County, located at 116 E. Fifth Street in Truth or Consequences. Following that, she will have dinner at 7:30 p.m. with Elisa Maria Sanchez, director of ENLACE (Engaging Latino Communities for Education). On Tuesday, Secretary Garcia will meet with a variety of constituents as follows:
