Teacher Recognized as Field Trainer
of the Year
(Santa Fe, NM)-Former Jemez Valley Public Schools teacher Eileen
Jaramillo has been recognized by the MarcoPolo Education Foundation
as MarcoPolo 2002 Field Trainer of the Year in the 50+ club.
As a field trainer, Jaramillo conducted sessions to help teachers
use MarcoPolo web resources effectively in their classrooms. Her
recognition is based on scores reported to the trainer, MarcoPolo
Education Foundation and state-based administrators evaluating the
quality and effectiveness of the training session, trainer and training
materials, as well as the MarcoPolo content and other resources.
MarcoPolo is a non-profit consortium of eight of the nation's premier
education organizations and the MarcoPolo Education Foundation dedicated
to providing the highest quality, standards-based and commercial-free
Internet content and professional development to teachers and students
nationwide.
The consortium includes the American Association for the Advancement
of Science, National Council on Economic Education, The National
Council of Teachers of Mathematics, John F. Kennedy Center for the
Performing Arts, National Geographic Society, International Reading
Association, The National Council of Teachers of English and National
Endowment for the Humanities.
