New Mexico - Public Education Department

NMTL HOME ABOUT THE PROGRAM CRITERIA

STEP UP AND LEAD AT YOUR SCHOOL

Together, the New Mexico Public Education Department and our teachers have established a solid foundation for improvement with the New Mexico Teacher Leader Network. Now we want to build on that success by broadening the initiative statewide.

The New Mexico Teacher Leader Network School Liaison program will gather educators from each of our public schools — 859 in all, from six regions. Our goal is to continue raising the quality of instruction and outcomes for all our students.

Participants will serve as leaders and facilitators in their schools. They will be able to network and collaborate with one another, both in person and online — creating a unique community of support and feedback. And they will gain access to PED resources and learn more about PED areas of focus, such as NMTEACH.

Teachers chosen to be NMTLN School Liaisons may also submit proposals to lead sessions at next summer’s New Mexico Teacher Summit.

APPLY NOW FOR 2017-18

Applications for the NMTLN School Liaison program must be received by Friday September 15th. Participants will serve a one-year term, with the option to reapply for a second year.

Successful applicants will be chosen from all subjects and grade levels. These solutions-oriented educators will have a record of success in and out of the classroom and a desire to assume active leadership roles in their schools. Learn more about our membership criteria here.
