How Do I Request Accommodations?

Each request for accommodation is considered on a case-by-case basis. You will be asked to fill out a Request for Testing Accommodations form based on disability type. In order to apply for accommodations on the computer based GED® test, you must first create a registration account and then proceed with submitting your request for official review.

Before you Request any testing accommodations, you must complete the following steps:

Create a MyGED account by signing up on or log-in to your MyGED account if you have an active account.

Answer yes on the GED Testing Service Registration form on the last question, "Do you need to request accommodated testing conditions for a documented disability?"

Once the registration form is submitted, you will receive an email indicating where to submit your accommodations request form and supporting documentation.

Four Easy Steps to Apply for Accommodations

  1. Create a MyGED account at
  2. Print and complete the accommodations request form for your disability
  3. Attach documentation for your disability
  4. Fax your forms and supporting documents to 202-464-4894
  • All accommodation requests are faxed directly to GEDTS. Please do not take or fax your request to the testing center or state GED Testing Office.
  • It will take 30 days for GEDTS to review your request.
