Post-Secondary Assessments

In order to ensure that New Mexico high school students graduate prepared to succeed whether they are choosing to transition directly into the workforce or into a post-secondary institution— targeted knowledge, skills, and academic preparation are essential.

Promoting and dedicating resources—ensuring that New Mexico students are college and career ready—a stronger link is being forged between postsecondary education and the world of work. It is the starting point for raising awareness and understanding of the critical skills and knowledge expected and required for success in colleges, technical training programs, gainful employment and career advancement in the 21st century. This dedication to students' academic preparation provides the skills and knowledge for students to achieve success in introductory college credit-bearing courses within an associate or baccalaureate degree program.
